About the Role
As a Senior Accountant at The Practice, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service aligned with our core mission—providing proactive advice and comprehensive solutions.
You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to:
- General compliance, accounting, and tax return preparation for all types of taxpayers
- Managing and maintaining client files
- Developing tailored financial strategies for clients
- Analysing financial data to identify potential risks and opportunities for other Practice services
- Collaborating with clients on tax-related matters and liaising with the ATO and other authorities
- Implementing effective tax planning programs
We expect a high standard of professionalism and application from all team members, so you will be required to:
- Ensure the timely completion of all accounting and tax-related work, meeting deadlines and budgets
- Review work with Managers and Associate Directors
- Be mindful of weekly and monthly productivity targets
- Keep up-to-date with industry developments and continue your professional growth
About You
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with at least 5 years of experience in an accounting practice, and the ability to perform the full range of duties outlined above. You should be CA or CPA qualified, or actively working toward certification.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work semi-autonomously and be confident, adaptable, and client-focused. We are looking for someone who:

- Communicates clearly and effectively with clients and colleagues
- Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail
- Takes initiative and shows motivation
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Has excellent time-management skills and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously
