About the firm:

Our client is a highly regarded public accounting firm nestled in the northern suburbs of Brisbane. Now, they’re seeking a talented Client Manager / Senior Accountant to join the team and contribute to their continued success.

About the role:

This is a senior role with responsibility for a portfolio of clients and to establish meaningful and long-term rapport as the “trusted advisor”. You will have a small team of accountants and administration support being led by you to achieve key performance goals and deliver excellent client service.

Key Tasks and Main Responsibilities:

– Liaising directly with clients and providing a high level of advice in regard to technical issues across all areas of SME commerce including Accounting, Tax, Corporate Affairs, State Taxes, Insurance, Business Analysis and Audit and will engender confidence in clients by the manner and advice provided.

– Providing management, leadership and supervision of team members

– Active participation with the principal in the development, marketing and expansion of existing business and strategic planning

– Demonstrating a high level of analytical ability in reading financial data and delivering business advisory services

– Compiling and analysing financial information to prepare financial statements including monthly and annual accounts

– Preparing financial management reports including accurate and appropriate recording and analysis of revenues, expenses and balance sheet items

– Establishing and monitoring the implementation and maintenance of accounting control procedures

– Continuous management and support of budget and forecast activities

– Analysing and advising on business operations including revenue and expenditure trends, financial commitments and future revenues

– Analysing financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures, provide strategic business recommendations and provide solutions to business and financial problems.
