One of our rapidly growing areas of specialisation is business and taxation advisory services. When you join MGI South Queensland, you’ll be doing more than standard compliance – you’ll be helping our clients to achieve their potential through cash flow, forecasting, budgeting, management reporting, and more. We build long-term relationships and have a diverse client base encompassing a range of industries, including hospitality, medical, construction, agribusiness, and not-for-profit.
We are looking for Intermediate Accountants with a proven ability with tax compliance for all entities and exposure to advisory or a willingness to learn advisory.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Deliver business and taxation advisory services, working closely with clients to address their unique needs.
- Provide tax compliance services for all entity types, including trusts, companies, and partnerships.
- Assist clients with cash flow management, budgeting, and management reporting, helping them realise their business potential.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients across a variety of industries.
- Collaborate with senior accountants to deliver team-based solutions.
- Travel to client sites as needed to foster strong client relationships and deliver hands-on service.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in taxation and business services within public practice.
- Excellent communication skills for both internal collaboration and client engagement. (previous experience communicating directly with client is a must)
- Knowledge of Fringe Benefits Tax and tax planning is highly desirable.
- Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in developing client solutions.
- Strong administrative skills, including experience with database management and record keeping.
- The ability to identify areas for process improvement and contribute to more efficient service delivery.
- A desire to progress to a Senior Accountant role and continue growing within our firm.
- A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
