Due to the continued growth of our firm, we have a newly created role for a full-time Tax Consultant to join our team in Brisbane CBD. If you are an Accountant working in Business Advisory and are interested in specialising in Tax and International Tax, this is your opportunity to learn!

About the role:

As a Tax Consultant, you will play a key role in providing tax-related advice, analysis, and planning services to individuals and businesses. You will also play a crucial role in helping clients optimise their tax strategies, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations, and minimising tax liabilities. You will work with the Partner and team in servicing existing client relationships to drive loyalty and retention. This role could see you gaining experience in Transfer Pricing.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Assist with providing technical support to create and deliver appropriate taxation / business plans and strategies for clients
  • Build and maintain client relationships
  • Undertake special taxation advisory services assignments
  • Prepare tax returns for individuals, trusts and companies
  • Prepare or review clients’ BAS and IAS returns
  • Prepare letters of advice and position papers on tax issues
  • Work on domestic and international tax issues
  • Work collaboratively with the Transfer Pricing team

 

About you:

To succeed as a Tax Consultant at Moore Australia, you will have:

  • Qualifications in Accounting, however a dual qualification in law or another discipline would be highly regarded
  • Someone who has 2-3 years’ experience in Business Advisory/professional services with an interest in tax advisory
  • A qualified CA/CPA/CTA/Masters of Tax or working towards being qualified
  • Experience in a Big 4 or Mid-Tier Firm highly regarded
  • Capable of building positive relationships with clients and colleagues
  • Detail orientated and professional with strong compliance skills
  • Highly organised and a natural planner
  • An excellent communicator, both verbal and in writing
  • Someone who has had exposure to Transfer Pricing or wanting to learn (advantageous, not required)
