The Role

In this hands-on client facing role you will be working with a diverse client group within a talented and established team. You will focus on client relationships and building an in depth understanding of clients’ needs to deliver quality and exceptional service.

As a Senior Accountant in our Melbourne team you will be responsible for:

  • Working with the client manager to manage a portfolio of clients across a diverse range of industries
  • Using your technical expertise across accounting and tax to deliver complex special purpose reports, annual financial statements, tax returns and reconciliations for companies, partnerships, and trusts
  • Preparation of monthly management reports for client, cashflow statements and the construction of logical and accurate working papers
  • Preparing budgets for client engagements
  • Assisting in consulting matters including the provision of tax advice
  • Providing guidance and support to junior team members through quality feedback and review, coaching and delegation

As our new team member, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) or similar undergraduate degree
  • Completed professional certification – CA, CPA or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience (At least 2 years in public practice accounting)
  • Experience in professional services (desired)
  • Demonstrated exposure to medium and large businesses with multiple entities
  • Motivation and a commitment to self-development and career progression
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • A strong ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
